Above: If you asked me if I could only keep one doll in my whole collection it would most likely be Mera Queen of Atlantis. I'm not sure what it is I love about this doll but she's simple but perfect for the character. I guess my love of Mera started when I was young. I loved her appearances in comics and always wished to see more of her. She has almost disappeared in recently years with the exception of her great appearances in some Justice League Episodes in the first season. I was so happy to see her again.  This doll represents the comic character very well from the time she was made.  The Mera on the Justice League looked a little differently but not too much so.  I've been told that Comic Heroine Super Queen Mera did NOT come with an alter ego.  Jim from the Captain Action group on yahoo says he got the doll as a child and opened it up himself and no alter ego outfit was present.  Mera's box is the only Comic Heroine Super Queen doll that does not mention an alter ego, which of course makes sense as she didn't have an alter ego.  Ideal could have given her a different fashion to wear to her under sea parties but I guess not.

Right: Boxed Mera.  Outfit is different pattern and is unmarked/untagged and looks different from my other Mera doll. Variation? Repro? Custom?  Tie in back is also different but when seen apart they are very similar looking. If this is a custom outfit it's a good one. When I got it the seller thought it was original and I believe he was sincere. The doll is an original comic heroine doll that the hair has faded on, which is common on alot of Mera dolls :(
The crown and box are customs done by Ray Flores are very nice. You don't see her flippers but she has on Ken's green flippers I believe.  See more images of this doll in bottom panel.  She is the only Super Queens doll without an alter ego outfit.
