Above: Here is Ideal's Comic Heroine Supergirl posin' doll, most collectors refer to these dolls as Super Queen Dolls.  My Super Queen Supergirl is ALL ORIGINAL and complete and in near perfect shape. She's the best example I've ever seen of this Comic Heroine doll,  she's a beautiful doll. She's just changed from her college coed alter ego Linda Lee Danvers and is ready to save the day!
*The phone booth is borrowed from Super Queen doll's cousin Glamour Misty also made by Ideal as Tammy's doll's best friend but the phone version was called Posin Misty. Glamour Misty is also known as Miss Clairol. Supergirl Comic Heroine Super Queen doll uses the same S Emblems and comes with the same Kryto Super Dog as Ideal's Captain Action Superman does.

Supergirl
Kryto Here are the 2 Kryto dogs I got with my Supergirl Comic Heroine doll and my Captain Action Superman action figure. They are the same except that the Supergirl Kryto has painted eyes and the Superman Kryto doesn't. It could be that they have just worn off as you can see the Superman dog on the right is in played/good condition and they might have had them on there originally. I'll have to keep better track of this to figure this out.

Supergirl and Batgirl were the only dolls of this series featured in the Sears catalogues. The Sears dolls had exclusive hair colours & alter ego fashions. The Sears-exclusive Supergirl is platinum-haired and in addition to the Supergirl outfit and Kryto dog, she also came with an alter-ego fashion which included a halter dress, underwear and shoes.

Right: Alter-ego halter dress: I have never seen this dress on a doll so I don't  know how it looks and am not sure how the straps goes on the doll.
This halter dress was also sold as a Tammy/Misty doll fashion by Ideal.  Thanks to Ray Flores for the information on the Sears alter ego fashions. The pics are thanks to Lorri and Ray.

If you have a platinum Supergirl doll halter dress, or underwear for sale, please let me know.
The underwear can be found in blue and pink, to be worn under the halter dress.  Similar panties may have been sold with the Montgomery Wards Exclusive Wonder Woman doll for her nurse outfit.  I'm sure it must have also come with Batgirl's flowered dress that was also sold with some Sears exclusive dolls.  Long time collector Raymond Flores told me
he's only found the Sears Supergirl & Batgirl with the pink panties.  He's also had Wonder woman boxed that he opened up himself and the stapled bag with the nurses outfit did not have panties in the bag.  I think that could be an error but Ideal may not have thought the nurse outfit needed any. I can see why the short halter dress did come with them though.
Thanks to Ray Flores for this photo.

The shoes were red.  They are the same as those that came with Wonder Woman and Samantha) to dress her as her alter ego Linda Lee Danvers.

The Sears-exclusive Supergirl doll had tons more hair than the regular edition Supergirl doll; the color difference is more striking in person.
